Lofoten Rorbu Suites are a subdivision of Svinøya Rorbuer and are located in Kabelvåg, approx. 6 km from Svolvær. The suites consist of  3 newly built rorbu cabins with accommodations for up to 6 people in each of them.

The rorbu cabins are of excellent standard. Each one is about 85 m2 and  includes 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 living rooms (of which one has cable TV), and a very well equipped kitchen. Dinner table to seat 8-10 people. Dinner service for 10 people, coffeemaker, waffle iron, kettle, dishwasher, and all the necessary equipment for making a good meal of your own catch of Lofoten cod for your friends or family. Fantastic sea view and view of Lofoten’s mightiest mountain, Vågakallen (942 m asl) together with the historical site of Storvågan.

In the rorbu cabin “Vågakallen” there is a Jacuzzi in the first floor bathroom.

The rorbu cabins “Vågar” and “Lofotodden” each have a soapstone fireplace on the ground floor. Firewood must be ordered in advance. The cabins face the south-west and the area is very sunny when the weather is fine in Lofoten. Spacious quayside patio secured with railings and equipped with outdoor furniture.

The rorbu cabins are located in private grounds in a quiet area with no unnecessary traffic since we only take advance bookings.

Car park right outside the cabins. No smoking in the cabins, no dogs allowed.

Walking distance (6-7 mins.) to Kabelvåg town centre where you will find a supermarket, post office, small boutiques and specialist shops, a kiosk, boat hire service, bicycle hire and the Prestængbrygga – a pub with a pleasant atmosphere and outdoor service that also serves lunches and dinners every day.

Storvågan, with the Gallery Espolin, the Lofoten Museum and the Lofoten Aquarium, is a 10-15 minute walk away.

Book a boat in advance for your fishing trip at “Rent a Boat Lofoten” in Kabelvåg  

Join “Lofoten Explorer” on a RIB safari to the Trollfjorden, we guarantee you an unforgettable experience. These trips are suitable for most people. The boats are of very high standard and are 36 feet (11 metres) in length. Daily departures from Svolvær at 11.30 am and 2 pm from 15 June to 25 August. Lofoten Explorer arranges charter tours and can customize exciting trips for you. Trips last for 2 hours. Booking: +47 90 79 38 47 or [email protected]

We recommend the restaurant “Børsen Spiseri” in Svolvær for a delicious fish meal. Børsen Spiseri specializes in stockfish dishes, something you simply have to try while in Lofoten. The restaurant is located at Svinøya, in the oldest quayside building in Svolvær, dating back to 1828. The building also houses an original country store, which was Svolvær’s first shop.
